Just few questions I have which have been bugging me for a long time:
1.How do i remove the red stains from my eyes (I tried eye wash)
2.When should I use my glasses (2 doctors said the opposite things !)
3.How do I keep my eyes healthy (anything would be splendid) and is there a way of improving them.

Thank you in advance for this is probably the only problem I've discussed which I myself have.

Are you allergic to something, and do you get enough sleep?

2.When should I use my glasses (2 doctors said the opposite things !)
Can you tell me what your sight level is (+/-)?

3.How do I keep my eyes healthy (anything would be splendid) and is there a way of improving them.
Yes, but it would be better if you told me more about the points above.

1.No and no (I sleep on average 6 to 7 hours also I'm a teenager)
2.I think its -1
3.Done it! :)

1. You must sleep at least nine hours in order to function well. No more, no less I say. Your eyes are usually red due to this, I believe that. Also, spending a lot of time staring at one thing (e.g. the computer) might cause red eyes. Make sure you go outside, too, and drink enough fluids, esp. water, not sodas.

2. Then I recommend that you use glasses only when you really cannot see what you want to see properly. It is not horrible at all to have a sight of +1 or -1, so only when you feel that glasses help a lot, use them.

3. Carrots are very good for the eyes, and so is spinach. Eat those every day. In fact, eating carrot daily can give a nice "orange" tan.

1.I thought that teens should sleep only 8 hours ?
2.If its complicated dont respond but why?Arent the glasses supposed to protect me from my computer screen?

Spinach is great in certain foods. Eat it when you can.

1.I thought that teens should sleep only 8 hours ?
No. This is a weak theory and all modern studies have debunked it. Nine hours of sleep, best before 12AM, is the best amount. Nine hours, as I said. No more or less.

2.If its complicated dont respond but why?Arent the glasses supposed to protect me from my computer screen?
I have not heard of that. Some glasses "protect" from the computer screen, but there is nothing about the computer screen which damages the sight. If you stare at anything too much, then your vision might be blurred.

I'd like to see these studies that specify the magic number of "9".

My vision is -1 in one eye and -2.5 in the other eye. I can legally drive without them, so I only wear them when I'm playing tennis, seeing a movie, things like that when I have to be able to see clearly.

Pretty sure the carrot thing is an urban legend.

It is late here and I do not have time to find more, but a very recent study has confirmed that nine hours is best, but there are lots of others who confirm it. It does not always have to be precisely nine hours, but somewhere in that area.

Not true. Vitamin A, which gets transformed from beta-carotene after consumption of carrot, is beneficial to the eyes.

Should have specified: I "lost" my glasses like 3 years ago because I really hate them. I wear my contacts in the above situations. I seriously don't know how anyone can wear glasses, it's not that they look dorky, they're just distracting, annoying, and inconvenient.

That's all I wanted to know. I thought that your assertion that it has to be "9 hours, no more, no less" was totally absurd.

No, I did not meant that. Nobody measures it with an atomic clock.

But around nine hours, that is best as far as most newer studies suggest.

I agree, from experience as well. 8 hours really aren't enough. I function best on 9 hours, but any more than that and I get groggy the whole day.

I want contacts, I refuse to wear glasses....for the same reasons you mentioned.
Apparently they are too expensive for my eyes tho *shrugs* oh well.

Okay, just don't apply too much moderation to your breathing of air.

If you breathe too much too fast you hyperventilate and die. I'd rather stay with my moderation.
