"In North Dakota they say, 'we hate how you treat your blacks down south, but the only good Indian is a dead Indian.'" No that's a stupid statement, made by someone who also thinks 1 + 1 = 9. lol. No they hate both Amerindians and blacks in South Dakota and North Dakota. What do you expect from states that are predominantly Lutheran? This was the religion that taught that blacks were descendants of Cain and cursed.

Well, As a North Dakotan who hates neither blacks nor indians, I find the OP to be both stupid and offensive ... especially the part where Lutherans, despite not being one of this, just have to hate people.

As for the story of Cain, do you believe in the adage that the apple doesn't fall far from the tree? That a tribe will be defined by its leadership? That tribe seeking power through murder and other rapacious ends would be welcomed to easily identify it and avoid the use of those tactics?

And Cain's tribe in the Bible? What did it do? Did it reform or did it continue in its wicked ways? Shocking.

Now, do you think people in general, and North Dakotans specifically, are obtuse that we believe that North Dakota is the liter playing ground of ancient Judaic tribes? Cain and Able are waltzing around the plains?

In fact, it turns out that the native tribes are QUITE a bit different, and yet have smilier stories of having to handle overly aggressive tribes in war don't they?

It takes a tremendous leap in logic a deliberate twist on context, to tai ancient Judean tribal conditions, and convey upon them, despite large numbers of black Lutherans, and claim that they are racists.

So yes, the both the statement and the 'rejection' of the statement are stupid.

And as a North Dakotan, I will tell you plainly that the sentiment is a small minority, and even then its stated far more as inappropriate humor rather than an honestly held belief. Just like everyone who uses the term 'retarded' doesn't actively hate children with down syndrome.

Just as there are plenty of black Catholics and Anglicans. Not the point though. Until 50 years ago, it was Lutherans not allowing blacks into their churches. Anglicans who appointing them in high numbers. Catholics too! And North and South Dakota was a hotbed of lynchings.

No, Cain is correct ...

And how many Lutherans do know that are actual racists? Glad you tarred all North Dakotans with that broad brush stroke.

Yeah, ALL the people who have ever used the word retard actually and actively hate kids with down syndrome. That is what it means EVERY time its used.

And that is why North Dakotans are all trying to kill indians you see? And hate black people.

This is BY FAR the most logical thread I have ever seen.

Lutherans were the one religion besides Baptists and Presbyterians, persecuting blacks!

Suggest you read your history.

That whole Roman thing ...

"Retard" is not a bad word? Really?

Yeah, ALL the people who have ever used the word retard actually and actively hate kids with down syndrome. That is what it means EVERY time its used.

And that is why North Dakotans are all trying to kill indians you see? And hate black people.

This is BY FAR the most logical thread I have ever seen.

Indians? No they're Native Americans.

Well, good luck engaging anyone in this thread.

I'd be scared as Hell to go to the Dakotas. With a history of Jim Crow.
