Indentured servitude in Hollywood, in which blacks in New York, Miami, Las Vegas and Los Angeles were coerced into doing roles to entertaining whites, such as jazz, etc? I when studying this time period, can't help but picture corruption being big in the entertainment industry.

Not to be confused with minstrel shows.

It seems like it was something out of "Harlem Nights" or "The Godfather" except the gov't allowed for business exects to do this.
