They had it sealed, but the French got convinced to get into the war, Britain didn't have it quite so sealed, pile this onto Americas taking advantage of the landscape and Britain lost, but Britain could've won the war.

That's true. It is good to have other countries on your side.

Yup, but this raises another question, could America have realistically/likely won without the French?

They have won wars against Britain before the Battle of Yorktown, so it is sufficient to say they had a chance.

If you really think about it neither side really won. It was more like Britain lost interest and America kinda just survived the war. Britain decided it wasn't worth the effort and left, we don't really ever actually force Britain to leave us alone until we win the war of 1812. America basically just lasted longer than Britain's attention span.

Yeah, America's high determination and lack of being stuck up was why they beat the British.

Britain was preoccupied with the much larger scale Napoleonic wars in France. Only a small number of troops were deployed in America. The threat of Napoleon invading the uk mainland meant the war against America was seen as a sideshow in the colonies. Following the defeat of Napoleonic France Britain could have easily taken territory from the USA by shipping over its numerous highly trained troops. However it choose not to waste resources in another war where it could see little to gain and instead sought to improve relations with the USA and expand its colonial empire elsewhere.
