Based on stability, healthcare, culture and environment, education and infrastructure these are the world's most liveable cities:

1: Melbourne
2: Vienna
3: Vancouver
4: Toronto
5: Calgary
6: Sydney
7: Helsinki
8: Perth
9: Adelaide
10: Auckland

The top ranked US city is Honolulu at #26 whereas the city where I live is ranked 53 out of the 140 cities surveyed.

I'm not very surprised that New York isn't in the top ten. I'm sure the crime and pollution rates won't be fit for a healthy living, let alone a few weeks of stay.:)

Honolulu? Seriously? It has the highest gas prices in the US, while it does have one of the lowest unemployment rates in the US, and a fairly high average income, it also has an unusally high margin of error for that income, and is a bit of an anomaly in that the more children a family has, the more they make on average. Nearly every other state maxs out at family of 4 making the most, and the more kids you have the wages start to go down.

To think about it, I better get going to France one day if the hurricane ever comes back. Or maybe Italy...I like the monuments and fresh open air there...

Well, if people would stop taunting the Hurricanes, maybe they wouldn't come back.

1: Melbourne, Australia: a British Colony
2: Vienna, Austria
3: Vancouver, Canada: a British Colony
4: Toronto, Canada: a British Colony
5: Calgary, Canada: a British Colony
6: Sydney, Australia: a British Colony
7: Helsinki, Finland
8: Perth, Australia: a British Colony
9: Adelaide, Australia: a British Colony
10: Auckland, New Zealand: a British Colony

If the United States hadn't bitten the hand that fed it and was still a British Colony maybe there would be some American cities in the top 10. :)
