So yeah, I signed up for storytelling.
just because.

I must present on friday.
I must've memrozied the piece.
6-8 minutes of presenting. No more no less.
For a 6-12 y/o age group.
A part of my body must be in the chair at all times.

Now does anyone have an idea of a story?
(
I'm clueless.

I could help you out on this. I love reading and writing. However the story and memorization would have to be totally up to you.
6-12 yr. olds.... hmm...

well here are some ideas

1. Kids that age tend to like silly stories involving a main character dealing with all the same general things they do. Junie B. Jones books are quite popular for that age group, so i'd recomend telling a story about a kid their age going to school, having a very problematic day, and having the end peace out with something silly.

2. Kids, also like action, suspense. Not to be taken to a distant extent, but they like hearing improbable, fictional stories where the main character can narrowly escape certain disasters and havoc, though un-realisticly.

3. Another good idea for that age group is, alot of kids like mysteries (as was i at that age). Keeping them on edge, or refraining a secret from a kid in that age group, tends to make them more curious and excited to hear the ending. Make it exciting!

On another note, i would prepare yourself for a large ammount of immaturity. If the kids near where you live, are anything like the ones near where i live, you may have to experience kids laughing, or making rather non-sensical detrimental comments on your story. I would know, i have been there.

I hope these ideas have helped you a little bit. If you were looking for of something along the lines of help with the actual story, let me know, i may be able to help.

I'm in the library now.

Leaving soon.
ASAP!!
Ideas!!

OH so you need to memorize an already published book..

okay. Try something like the magic tree house series, or again Junie B. Jones, goosebumps, etc.
Or are you looking to create a memorized speech? I'm a bit lost at your assignment. More details please, i'd be happy to help.

However, they may not be long enough. Our storytelling is only 5 minutes. And we have specific topics.
