In your guy's opinion?

I have looked around but everyone claims to be the most reliable... so in your personal experience, which is the most reliable?

I mean, can drag it in mud and it will still shoot.
Never clean it and it will still shoot.

and which is the best way to keep it safe at home so no one can get to it... IE children?

do any of your dads, have guns.... how do they keep it?

Glocks are good, .40 cal is best, 9mm is good too. Berettas are also good.

My dad is in law enforcement. (It's not important what he does. He may be a cop, boston regional fbi director, or a cia agent. Either way, I'm not telling.) But he keeps his gun(s) in a gun case. As long as you're the only one with a key and make sure you lock it, kids shouldn't be able to get at it.

Haha.
"Let me tell you the truth. The truth is, 'what is'. And 'what should be' is a fantasy, a terrible terrible lie that someone gave to the people long ago. The 'what should be' never did exist, but people keep trying to live up to it. There is no 'what should be,' there is only what is." - Lenny Bruce

A rifle.
It came to be at its height. It was commanded to command. It was a capital before its first stone was laid. It was a monument to the spirit of man.

I can not see a rifle being better... it would be harder to conceal or to load during a break in.

Just get a tazer. They are fast, stun anyone, and you won't have to deal with the guilt of killing someone. And lets face it, who hasn't ever wanted to taze someone. That'll show criminals to F*ck up your trip to the movies.

Or you could get a Claymore. I don't mean the sword. I mean the boxes of explosives filled with ball bearings so that when the box explode, the bearings destroy everything in sight.

Both are more fun than a stupid gun.
I'll get by with a little help from my friends.

if its locked in a gun case how quick do you really think you can get at it. dog in most cases is better than a gun to ward of intruders. but if you must SIG-Sauer P226 is a good gun. during the day or when not home gun cabinet. when you go to bed but it in a drawer next to your bed with no clip in. or a gun lock like this one for easy access

revolvers are the most reliable handguns, period.

The worst handgun was the flintlock handguns. Those things are horrible.

GUNS

Murder= bad :)

Saying the guns cause murder is like saying matches cause arson. So, if that is the case prevent forest fire register matches :)
