On GIMP, I am having some trouble with the foreground select tool. I have used to to remove a figure in an image from the background, and have been successful in this. However, the outline I made to remove the figure has not disappeared like I had expected. I delete the background, move the remaining image around the figure, but the outline stays in the original position.

How can I remove this?

Any help is appreciated, and thank you in advance.

I really can't understand GIMP.

I don't use GIMP, but I would bet that there is a feather setting that you have on 1 or 2pixels that is causing this. See if your background eraser has a feather setting and set it to zero/off. That should fix it.
