My biggest pet peeve would have to be when some-one calls me 'bro'. The worst part, is that since I'm in college it's not an uncommon occurrence.

What your biggest pet peeve?

When people don't say "whom" when it's needed. It's just a little thing, but it really irks me for some reason >.<

Also, people who walk and text. I mean, at the very least look up every couple sentences so you don't run into people!
If you're reading this, you're awesome and you should feel awesome.

I work in a drive thru, and that's where my biggest pet peeve comes from. From time to time, there are people who will insist on paying in exact change. In some cases, that's okay. Problem is, that gets really fvcking annoying when it's 10 degrees out, windy, and there's a line, and i have to stand there with the window open for five minutes while you look through your car for change.

I generally talk with a pretty bad valley girl-type inflection so we probs should never meet. On my own pet peeves, I guess condescension (get it a lot) and (not-on-purpose) grammatical errors.

1. When people chew with their mouth open
2. When people ask me what I'm listening to and respond with "really?", when I tell them Doo Wop.
3. When people laugh because they are in a good mood, not because the joke was particularly funny or "laugh worthy".
4. Jewish People
5. People who walk slowly on narrow sidewalks.
6. People with bad breath.
7. People

What your biggest pet peeve?

1. People who think they are intelligent but are not, who inflict themselves on others -unwittingly or otherwise.
2. People who are boring.
3. People who complain about other people who smoke cigarettes in public.
4. Frat boys in general.
5. People who would prefer to inflict their 'morality' on others.
6. People who use stereotype specific phrases, references, or who otherwise bastardize the english language.
-Ex: when gay people use 'gay' slang, when white girls use phrases like 'cray cray' instead of crazy, when adolescent males use the word 'bro', etc.
7. People who do not drive over the speed limit.
8. The fact that the United States does not use the metric system.

AND THE BIGGEST OF THEM ALL:

The incorporation of the word "like" or the sound "um" into speech of any kind when doing so is not grammatically necessary.

Oh, and I forgot:

People who end sentences when they talk as if they are asking a question, but not.

I think child pornography is my biggest pet peeve. It really disgusts and infuriates me that people exploit innocent children like that. But, yeah, bad breath is pretty bad too if you want to go with that...

People who use the words "Nazi" "Bigot" "Racist" and all the other buzz words to marginalize an individual when they are losing a social, political or fiscal argument.
It's not your views that divide us, it's what you think my views should be that divides us.

Ya, I hate that one to. The customer is almost always a lying scammer, at least in my line of work. The famous words they always use two weeks later after they sign the contract>>>>>>>>>> You said A and B. And of course that was never said and I have the contract to prove it. Then they do the same thing they all do. Well I didn't read it or I would have said something earlier. But in all cases I should have known and called to confirm their mind change they never called about or mentioned after the fact.

1. People who have horrible breath.

2. People who run slower than me and then I'm the bad guy because I give a full effort when running.

3. The people who say "lol" instead of actually laugh.

4. My procrastination.

5. People who are jerks or a*sholes, though they are similar in nature.

6. When people don't laugh at my awesome jokes.

7. People who lack empathy.

There are others as well, I can't think of them at the moment.

Yep, there's another pet peeve. Sometimes the customer is just being an idiot. One customer came through the drive thru asking for Happy Meals. I don't work at McDonalds or any place like it, and we don't even have a comparable item on our menu.

That is because people are generally braver when they think they won't be held accountable for their actions (such as when they are on the internet). Fortunately, and this speaks to WSA's point as well, everything you do on the internet, can be used against you (1) in almost all courts of law, (2) in the court of public opinion and (3) in international criminal investigations.

But generally, people don't speak their mind when in public, for fear that someone might call them out. (The people of DDO might be the exception to that rule.)

I actually got into an argument with someone about this recently.

The conversation went a bit like this:

Dumbshit: It's not my job to pay the wages of restaurant employees.
YYW: In the US, it is customary to tip 20% if you receive adequate service.
Dumbshit: So what. That's not my problem.
YYW: So, you're essentially going to stiff the waiter -who took excellent care of you- because you don't think you should have to tip?
Dumbshit: I'm not stiffing them. It's just too expensive to leave a fifth of the bill in cash on the table.
YYW: I'll pay your tip, and this is the last time I'll go out to eat with you unless you reform.

We were at a nice restaurant, the bill was about 130 US and he was trying to leave ONLY $15 for a tip. I was truly offended.
