"Whenever you want it too.. head to a thread that isn't Imabench's and I'll meet you there... Thad's thread might work.. but it might be more fun to troll the religious forum.. or the entertainment forum.. the DDO forum could be fun.. im a bit annoyed by the popularity of the "political compass" thread.. we could troll that"

Come one come all
And gather round
Im here to tell the tale
Of when FREEDO was crowned
The ruler of us all!

It began with a whisper
From one to another
"This FREEDO" it was said
"Would make an excellent dictator!"
And from there it lead
one thing to the next
from lady to gent
the good word spread
without any delay or dither!

With raucous applause
And merry celebration
FREEDO was crowned
and lo' it was a marvelous occasion!

Strippers and blackjack and drugs galore
Parades and drinks and sober free
Till the people to a T
Could party no more!

The next day they awoke
With a startling surprise
For FREEDO had transformed this land
into his dream and visions of enterprise!

Fields of green
As far as you could concievably aee
And even more beyond
At least thats what was told to me!

For I could not get past
My own front door
for FREEDO had made it so
I would be high
For ever more!

Hello master, i must confess, it has been a long time since I have dreamed of unicorns and cannabis. The almighty dictator will forever live within me, as will the scent of Oldspice Swagger, the delicious man's man scent of swag, in a bottle. I assume that picture is just one of your thousands of women lining up at your throne. You sap knowledge from my brain, and turn it into candy, which I then eat, and then poop out to create a rainbow, which in turn dictates my life through a book, that just appeared out of nowhere, with a woman on each and every page, that looks at me, and tells me, all is not lost, for the almighty fuhrer is looking down upon me at all times of the day. Any questions I have of a random occurrence within my life turns into playdoh which I then proceed to play with, but alas, I lack the Playdoh Mega Fun Factory. I proceed to eat the playdoh, and spit it out, but oh look! It has become a fat Cuban Cigar, already lit and ready to be smoked. I hear a laugh in the sky, and look up, to see this, http://www.fanpop.com...
and cannot help but laugh as well. Your power is intoxicating, and your flatulence is fabricating. In the time it took me, your loyal servant, to write, this, a million zebras have landed on mars, and created a shrine of Freedo, in which they all subsequently died upon completion of the shrine, because Freedo can't be seen, he is only in your head, and outside of your head. What takes a man his whole life to complete, you complete without ever thinking it. Oh almighty dictator Freedo, how I have missed you so. I shall go home now, and sacrifice a walrus in your name.

"It is a damn poor mind that can think of only one way to spell a word."

I don"t give a damn for a man that can only spell a word one way. ~ Mark Twain

"If you can spell "Nietzsche" without Google, you deserve a cookie."

"Apparently, my hopes, dreams and aspirations were no match against my poor spelling, punctuation and grammar."
R13; Red Red Rover

Mark Twain on Spelling:

I don't see any use in having a uniform and arbitrary way of spelling words. We might as well make all clothes alike and cook all dishes alike. Sameness is tiresome; variety is pleasing. I have a correspondent whose letters are always a refreshment to me, there is such a breezy unfettered originality about his orthography. He always spells Kow with a large K. Now that is just as good as to spell it with a small one. It is better. It gives the imagination a broader field, a wider scope. It suggests to the mind a grand, vague, impressive new kind of a cow.
- speech at a spelling match, Hartford, Connecticut, May 12, 1875. Reported in the Hartford Courant, May 13, 1875

Why, there isn't a man who doesn't have to throw out about fifteen hundred words a day when he writes his letters because he can't spell them! It's like trying to do a St. Vitus dance with wooden legs.
- The Alphabet and Simplified Spelling speech, December 9, 1907

...simplified spelling is all right, but, like chastity, you can carry it too far.
- The Alphabet and Simplified Spelling speech, December 9, 1907

I have had an aversion to good spelling for sixty years and more, merely for the reason that when I was a boy there was not a thing I could do creditably except spell according to the book. It was a poor and mean distinction and I early learned to disenjoy it. I suppose that this is because the ability to spell correctly is a talent, not an acquirement. There is some dignity about an acquirement, because it is a product of your own labor. It is wages earned, whereas to be able to do a thing merely by the grace of God and not by your own effort transfers the distinction to our heavenly home--where possibly it is a matter of pride and satisfaction but it leaves you naked and bankrupt.
- Mark Twain's Autobiography

I never had any large respect for good spelling. That is my feeling yet. Before the spelling-book came with its arbitrary forms, men unconsciously revealed shades of their characters and also added enlightening shades of expression to what they wrote by their spelling, and so it is possible that the spelling-book has been a doubtful benevolence to us.
- Mark Twain's Autobiography

...ours is a mongrel language which started with a child's vocabulary of three hundred words, and now consists of two hundred and twenty-five thousand; the whole lot, with the exception of the original and legitimate three hundred, borrowed, stolen, smouched from every unwatched language under the sun, the spelling of each individual word of the lot locating the source of the theft and preserving the memory of the revered crime.
- Mark Twain's Autobiography

The Atlanta Constitution, April 22, 1906, p. E3
MARK TWAIN ON SPELLING REFORM.

Mark Twain does not believe that the project of the Carnegie spelling reformers will succeed. "It won't happen," he says, "and I am sorry as a dog. For I do love revolutions and violence." He believes, however, that the reform could be made effective if it were done "by a sudden and comprehensive rush"; but he doubts if the effort at a slow and gradual change is worth while. "It is," he says, "the sudden changes in principles, morals, religious, fashions, and tastes that have the best chance of winning in our day. Suppose all the newspapers and periodicals should suddenly adopt a Carnegian system of phonetic spelling--what would happen? We all know quite well what would happen. To begin with, the nation would be in a rage; it would break into a storm of scoffs, jeers, sarcasms, cursings, vituperations, and keep it up for months--but it would have to read the papers; it couldn't help itself. By and by, and gradually, the offensive phonetics would lose something of their strange and uncanny look; after another by and by they would lose all of it, and begin to look rather natural and pleasant; after a couple of years of this, the nation would think them handsome, sane, and expressive, and would prefer them to any other breed of spelling."
