6/19/2013 5:18:14 PM Posted: 4 years ago Ill tell you what ticks me off. When a person is driving and doesnt stop at a stop sign or a red light. Or when they do not use their turn signal before they get to a right angle street. Now how stupid can you possibly be.
I guess people often just assume things instead of exercising common sense. What do you think DDO. |

6/20/2013 1:25:39 AM Posted: 4 years ago 1. Thinking you're smarter or more knowledgeable than someone else, but also making gratuitous gestures or displays to call attention to your superiority (particularly when the feeling is unsubstantiated). I get frustrated, for instance, when, while conversing with someone or listening to a conversation, one person makes a show of rolling their eyes, shaking their head, or chuckling while I or the other person is speaking. Particularly if they're wrong when they behave that way, they look terrible without qualification. Even if they're right, they just seem smug and condescending. One example on the site might be the tendency of older members, which I've encountered and experienced more than once, to be dismissive on the basis of age--the "you need to grow up" or "you don't have enough experience" sort of line. A more generic example might be when, to terminate an argument, someone says something like "Yeah, whatever you say," where you know that someone is not only trying to dismiss you, but to shut down any opportunity for further conversation.
2. I don't like being interrupted. |

6/20/2013 1:33:34 AM Posted: 4 years ago 3. Having to repeatedly do things. One of the less pleasant sensations I have experienced is the seething annoyance, which scales in proportion to its tedium, number of iteration, and to the temporal separation between iterations, at having to repeat a task already completed. Examples include having to keep re-cleaning, near close, the production line at work as customers wander in every few minutes, and, more mundane still: having to re-situate a broom because it keeps falling over.
