(1) Troll only the deserving, when they are deserving, that trolling may not be arbitrary.
(2) Troll with resolve, but not malice, even though it is acceptable for others to believe that your motives less than pure.
(3) Master the methods of trolling, that you will be a better troll to troll the trollworthy.
(4) Those who target innocents must be trolled, for that is justice.
(5) Those who target other trolls, shall be trolled.
(6) Trolls must recognize other trolls, and come to their assistance where possible.
(7) Those who fight trolls must be trolled into submission.
(8) Trolls must troll until their subjects stop posting responses.
(9) Trolls may employ any means necessary to troll, except troll site code.
(10) Trolls who live by this code are trolls in law. napid y zakonye.

Hah, this is pretty good, but a little malice in trolling can never hurt anyone.

there are several definitions of trolling:

troll: submit a deliberately provocative posting to an online message board with the aim of inciting an angry response.
https://www.google.com...

trolling
Being a prick on the internet because you can. Typically unleashing one or more cynical or sarcastic remarks on an innocent by-stander, because it's the internet and, hey, you can.

Also,

The most essential part of trolling is convincing your victim that either a) truly believe in what you are saying, no matter how outrageous, or b) give your victim malicious instructions, under the guise of help.

Trolling requires decieving; any trolling that doesn't involve decieving someone isn't trolling at all; it's just stupid. As such, your victim must not know that you are trolling; if he does, you are an unsuccessful troll.
http://www.urbandictionary.com...

All definitions agree that it is purely malicious. The purpose is for the troll to feel good about himself for his ability to make others suffer, as if being a pain in the butt is difficult.

Really? There's only one rule in trolling, and that is there are no rules. Trolling is neither a privilege nor a right. It is a natural intangible idea that grows inside every human being. It is the way that people can just unleash their inner fury and just let it all out. There is no code. It is moral, it is righteous, it is justifiable, and it is legit. It is simply let out by those who can and will; there are those who just can't find it in themselves. There are many ways to do so, but the way to start it is to let it be free; the urge to do something (it) is to just let it run wild with no limits, no boundaries, and no care to the world. It can't be chained by those who want to do it. That's why there cannot be any way to stop someone from choosing their choice of what they wanted to choose either by natural choice or by influence from others. It just will not work with how the motion of the way that it is. There is none.

Actually, the word troll" is realted to the wrod "trawl". Years ago people used to troll (trawl) chatrooms (social media sites) on the information superhighway (Internet) looking for potential victims.

For some reason hearing (reading) troll so often made me think of the old buffalo statement--even though I can't make it perfect:

"Trolls trolls troll, troll trolls trolling trolls trolling trolls"

I troll only when I am bored and need entertainment. Is that entertainment at other's expense? Sure, but only when those who I would troll are willing participants. As the old adage goes, it takes two to tango. So, there is no moral issue to trolling when those who are trolled respond.

I think it's fair to say that some people are bothered by the fact that inherent to trolling is the ability to be deceptive -such that a troll who was trolling would pretend to believe or feel something that they do not. Some people are better doing that than others.
