Math vs English

Both are very board but with English lets focus in on writing.

I'm literally torn between the two at the moment and it's affecting my ability to choose a major.

Math: I like math because of it's objectivity, in that there is only one right answer with multiple ways to reach it. It's not subjected to the perspectives of the teachers who subjectively grade. However, it's always been a struggle for me to retain all those little rules that go along with math. E.g., long division with polynomials, vertical/horizontal/slant asymptotes and completing the square (and the list goes on).

English: On the other hand, I like writing but it always takes my a long time to produce a "good paper." I mean seriously it takes hours sometimes. I also like writing because it isn't bound to strict mathematical laws.
