I can't believe I haven't given this to you guys yet, I'm always testing my friends.
There are four recognized(means I didn't make this part up)main personality types(orange, gold, blue and green). Before you would have had to read the definitions and figure out which one you are but I devised a test for it. I realized it was based of of two big social characteristics; extroversion vs. introversion and liberally-minded vs. conservatively minded(has nothing to do with politics). How it works: pick the word out of each below-listed pair that sounds most appealing and/or most pertains to you, however many you choose from the left in each row is your score for that row, then just find where you are on the chart(link provided) and post it here, including your sub-group(the big numbers).

Liberality:_________Extroversion:
flexibility-structure _ run-walk
independence-loyalty _ loud-quiet
Variety-constistency _ freinds-family
curious-content _ party-solitary
risky-safe _ adventure-home
skeptical-faithful _ Talk-listen
logical-instinctive _ communication-reflection
thoughts-feeling _ people-person
change-routine _ many-few
defiance-obedience _ open-closed
new-old _ outward-inward
tolerant-restrictful _ hyper-calm
eccentric-stable _ fast-slow
question-accept _ play-relax
leader-follower _ assertive-reserved
progression-preservation _ expression-retention
intellect-morality _ bold-mellow
selfesteem-selfdenial _ excited-peaceful
retaliation-pacifism _ dramatic-normal

Chart: http://www.debate.org...

What it means: Each color is pretty much summed by how you answer, it's more for the purpose of seeing who your close to. Here are some recognizable figures in history and their correspanding colors:
Gold: George Washington, Stonewall Jackson, Woodrow Wilson, Joseph Stalin, Harry Truman, George H. W. Bush, Colin Powell, Bill O'Reilly.
Orange: Wolfgang Mozart, Benjamin Franklin, Theodore Roosevelt, Franklin Roosevelt, Winston Churchill, Adolf Hitler, George Patton, Clint Eastwood.
Green: Napoleon Bonaparte, Charles Darwin, Albert Einstein, Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln, Ayn Rand, Dwight Eisenhower, Bill Gates, Barrack Obama.
Blue: Vladimir Lenin, Eleanor Roosevelt, Mohandas Gandhi, George W. Bush, Glenn Beck.

Here are some statistics on them:
Gold = Most common
Orange = 70% of criminals and also 70% of people considered highly successful. They usually either extremely fail or extremely succeed. Gives off more negative in negative environment, gives off more positive in positive environment.
Green: Is overwhelmingly made off nonreligious people.
Blue: Has highest percentage of people who became teachers.

Common stereo-types:
Gold: Boring
Orange: Trouble maker
Green: Geek
Blue: Unintelligent

How to do business with the colors:
Gold: As professional and business like as possible.
Orange: Must be made new, exciting, interesting, and very relaxed.
Green: Everything as statistical and straight forward as possible, completely unpersonal.
Blue: They want to know that you care about them and that you want them to come away with a good deal, it's all personal.

I am an Orange-1, as orange as it gets.

Simply because someone makes a test, gives it categories, and distributes it, does not make it valid in any manner in any way whatsoever.

That's called face validity and about as useful as saying the newspaper horoscope works, from what I've seen.

Except I'm being specific and I'm not saying it comes from stars.

Entirely irrelevant. Validity is not a measure of how it seems, feels, appears. It is a statistical measure.

I'll put it another way. You are doing the equivalent of a patient suffering from phantom limb syndrome who complains to their doctor about pain in the missing limb.

When you say 'recognized' you imply a certain degree of empirical support. For fun it's simply a waste of time, like many other internet activities, and no, not cranky, simply explaining to you something about psychological tests. :)

Not too sure how the questions actually direct the answers, but those are my results.

It feels right to the patient, it is however incorrect and no measure of a pain response.

You think I don't know the available plausibility of psychology tests of this manner? I'm not a retard, it's pretty simple. Whether I implied or not that someone else supports it's validity doesn't mean I do, I only said "recognized" to show that it's not just something I made up. I should be a little more clear in my intentions because it seems every time I'm just trying to have some fun around here people go into debate mode(which is understandable). I wish somebody would actually answer the thread.

You expect omniscience from us all? The fact the test is seen by some as valid is warrant enough that anyone advocating it may too. :)

No, the sub-groups are just to be more specific; to have a 4 is to be near the center, to have a 1 is to be a lot more defined with the characteristics of that color.

I don't get how your supposed to do it.

Is it just add up all the left sides of the pairs that you chose??

On the first scale, yes, add them up, and climb up the chart to where your number is. Then, do the second scale for the left-right axis, wherever your number is there.

Something's fishy about just giving us 'colors."
