Pretty much any of the last four. I'd debate you on dualism but I am about to debate Skeptic on dualism as soon as he accepts my challenge.

I agree with your position on all of the above. I'd like to see some new topics for a change [these have been done a lot] and I'm currently looking for suggestions on what to debate JBlake about in the TOC. We agree on a lot so it's difficult to pick a topic. Ideas, anyone?

I think though, that the tendency for settled members to pick off new members debates without creating their own, may need to change to keep interest and involvement going. :)

I'd love to see how you make the jump to "scientific fact" from "theory" that the world of science recognizes it as.

It's a theory with a lot of scientific facts :)

Which is more than, say, Creationism can claim.

It's both a theory and a fact, as is the same with gravity.

"The "fact of evolution" refers to the changes in the genetic material of a population of biological organisms over time, which are known to have occurred through scientific observations and experiments. The "theory of evolution" refers to the modern evolutionary synthesis, which is the current scientific explanation of how these changes occur. . . The distinction between fact and theory is not limited to the study of evolution. The law of gravity is the scientific fact that bodies of mass attract each other, while there are different theories of gravity that attempt to explain how bodies of mass are attracted to each other. In this way, gravity is also both a scientific fact and a scientific theory."

and so a debate on just the "fact" of evolution (rather then one trying to prove the theory) would then end up being a rather boring debate, wouldn't it. But if the debate was more in line with the theory of evolution and trying to prove that (since that is what many scientists are trying to prove or atleast get closer to proving), that would be a much more fun debate.

From what I can see, a couple people are interested in the God, free will, and evolution debates. I'm done with my new God debate, and I'm about halfway done with my debates on free will and evolution.

To my knowledge, many people on this site (e.g. Kleptin and TheSkeptic) have defended evolution from creationists, but no one has gone out of their way to fully explain the two most powerful lines of evidence for evolution (i.e. Comparative DNA testing and the evidence from the geographical distribution of fossils). If I'm wrong about that, then I apologize.

Likewise, may people have done excellent jobs in defeating the various arguments for God, but no one, to my knowledge, has built a philosophically strong preemptive attack on God.

I hope to make headway in both of these areas. Moreover, I realize that these topics are getting kind of old, so if anyone has any interesting ideas for new debates I would really like to hear them.

I do recall referring to the fossil record as powerful evidence; the horse lineage being must extensive. I'm not sure how much I emphasized comparative DNA testing, but I'm sure using other forms of evidence will be sufficient as well.

I was sort of thinking the same thing. Evolution really isn't a scientific fact; it's a theory. There's a difference. Genetics is a fact; the fossil record is a fact; evolution is not a fact.

I'm using both of them in my new debate. I thought I would would be the first person to use the argument from nonbelief. :( Oh well, I have one last secret argument, that I think is fairly decent.
