The people who wrote the article are full of fail.

From the article: "Many theorists mistakenly believe the symbolism of the eye is related to the Freemasons (a secret society whose members believed they were under the careful scrutiny of God), but the symbolism of the glowing eye is far older than any Freemason thinking. Scholars have traced versions of the symbol as far back as the ancient Egyptians."

"Many theorists mistakenly believe the symbolism of the eye is related to the Freemasons"

It is related to the Freemasons.

"(a secret society whose members believed they were under the careful scrutiny of God),"

No.

"but the symbolism of the glowing eye is far older than any Freemason thinking."

Yes, very true.

"Scholars have traced versions of the symbol as far back as the ancient Egyptians."

No sh**. The Freemasons are a revival of the ancient mystical and wisdom traditions and secrets. The fact that it's an ancient Egyptian symbol doesn't negate that it's a Freemasonic symbol. The Freemasons are a continuation of the ancient secret societies of those times. The dollar was designed by several Freemasons and the dollar bill is FILLED with Illuminated Freemasonry symbols, language, and numerology.
