I was skimming through wikapidea on predected stuff to occur in years to come and I fond this enteristing year 2036. It say's astaroid 99942 Apophis has a chance of hitting Earth on Easter Sunday. small as the odds given are (1 in 250,000) I would think that this deserves a little more armageddon fear than the year 2012 as this fear would come from sceince knowledge of a specific disaster that could occur where as 2012 has rare galactic allienment. Its not like it dosnt sound just as erie seeing as it would hit on Easter.

Apophis has gone from 1 in 250,000, to 1 in 400,000, and keeps increasing, the closer we get to 2036 and the more we learn about its trajectory. I wouldn't be too concerned.

Who said the year 2012 is Armageddon? Only disinfo sites are pushing this nonsense. The Mayans never even said it's doomsday. They said it's a day of celebration because it's the beginning of a new cycle. Yes, Galactic Alignment will occur on 12/21/2012 as it does EVERY year. However, we are currently traveling through the Galactic Equator. It has also been documented that every 26 million years, there occurs a rapid increase in evolution.

So there is a lot of science behind 2012, just nothing that suggests a doomsday.
