I'd really like to see a database where you can type in a theory you have, and the search engine will scan the records for similar language and match your theory with one that is already established. That'd be an awesome website.

Does something like that already exist? A complete database for all logical and scientific theories? And if so, does it have the search capabilities I'm describing?

JSTOR comes pretty darn close to achieving this.

I just checked out the site... I'll say it kindaaaaa is like what I am looking for. Ultimately, I'm looking for the Google of scientific and logical theories.

Lmao, yeah but Wikipedia doesn't allow me to type in a theory I have, and then match it to one already in the database. I think I'm on some next-level sh!t right here.

I have this friend always thinking of theories and I ruin his high everytime. Just PM me and I'll do the same for you. I'll tell you who thought of it first.

Hahaha. I don't think it matters who thought of it first these days, but rather who "makes" it first. If you're telling me that no website like this exists, and I'm assuming no-one else knows of one due to the lack of input from others, then I just say... who wants to make millions? Seriously, if no site like this exists, we should make it.

Now, we just need someone who can actually make websites, then push him out of the company once his purpose is filled.

the thing is that either you have the wording correct (and Google/Wikipedia would find the theory for you) or you are wording it in a funny way there the website you describe would fail to locate it anyway.

Eh, I guess. I see what you're saying, and agree that Google could work. It might take more knowledge of key words though to get accurate results from Google. I'm thinking of a more centralized or focused search engine that is compiled solely of accepted theories or proposed theories. I feel like that'd make the entire process much easier.

Many academic institutions have access to vast databases of information. Basically you can type in a few keywords, and it will give you any and all peer reviewed material on the subject.
