Anyone who posts below it is being trolled.

Just in case I get into some BS with FREEDO again about how he's NOT a narcissist.

So... what's there to destroy evil inside of and above the constitutional government?

In any case, I read your latest post, "A Heaven for Atheists???"

And, well, first of all, this just reeks of narcissism: "Besides being a philosopher, political theorist and a party-animal, I also spend a great deal of time thinking about the future, more specifically the far future; I am a futurist."

But that aside, your proposition is absurd. A machine that could calculate the entire universe would have to by necessity calculate itself, which would be... black out.

I mean, unless you've created God.

I thought you said you didn't believe in God, Freedo.

I don't expect anybody to believe it. I stated myself that I didn't believe it, that it was just an idea. But I think your failing to have some imagination here. Just think of what could happen with that amount of time on our hands. It probably wouldn't be made of normal matter.

It's my idea that your thoughts on this subject make sense. I don't expect expect anybody to believe. I don't believe it myself.

But I think your failing to have some imagination here. Just think of what could happen with that amount of time on our hands.

In your post you said it was possible. It isn't.

It probably wouldn't be made of normal matter.

Like, magic?

It probably wouldn't be made of normal matter.

=====================

From http://freedosphere.wordpress.com...

Let's assume there's a God.

Point 1: Things are here.

Point 2: God did/does things.

Point 3: This means God is acting towards a conclusion; a goal.

Point 4: Which means things weren't perfect to begin with.

Point 5: But what was there to begin with? Just God.

Conclusion 1: A perfect God cannot exist. God acting to a conclusion cannot be perfection as a conclusion would be God's means to fulfill perfection.

Point 6: If a perfect God existed, he would have simply been and that would be that.

Conclusion 2: If your definition of God is that he is perfect than God does not exist. Since things are; things have happened, there is no God.
