I feel like reviving the LAST thread in the miscellaneous section. Not enough people saw this, and cars are more important and more awesome now. Top dozen anyone?

Wow! Way to revive a thread!

I was hoping some Americans would post with links to 1950's Cadillacs with massive fins and so on, but nobody did.

I'm not big on classic cars, but I've always liked staring at photos of them.

I recently bought a classic Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow almost identical to the one in this picture:

It needed renovating but that is almost done now - it just needs a re-spray and then it should look as good, inside and out, as the day it left the factory.

Thanks - I would have preferred the convertible Bentley version of this car but they are something like 10 times the price!

Oh jeez... And what was the price of this car, approximately?

I got it cheap off eBay because it needed a lot of expensive mechanical work doing to it - Rolls-Royce parts are incredibly expensive and hard to find - some had to be custom-made: but I could sell it now and make a small profit, but only about £5,000 ($8,000).

Fabulous car, but did you know they still make them - ash frames and all - but, unfortunately, there's a two-year waiting list and so a low mileage secondhand example in good condition will sell for much more than the list price of a new one...
