Would I be able to get rid of my first, middle, and last names, and in replace, just give myself one different name?

I.E.:

Jane Harriet Doe

Get rid of all those, and then give myself a different name that does not have a middle or last:

Sparky

Understand? Would I be able to do it?

This name rules.

A problem with having one names is filling out forms and online sign-ups. Services you subscribe to might also get confused and messed up. That's something you should consider.

I've considered changing my last name to "Jolie," because some of my friends already call me that (as a combination of "Joe" and "Lee) and because my name is too bland.

I wouldn't want any hint of association with Angelina ;)

What and why exactly do you want a name change SAC?

Because I refuse to keep a name that my parents gave me. They never let me choose my name. I'm an individual; I want to start feeling like one.

So, screw the name I was forced to have, and create my own. I don't like authority.

I've been testing some of this independence, and have come to realize that my parents don't really have much control over me anymore either.

Oh, teenage rebellion, okay.

You know the fact that you're going to go legally change your name by the authority of a judge installed by the sovereign authority of the state where you live in the country run by a federal authority never dawned on you as slightly ironic, eh?

Fool, his name is not changed by authority of law. Your name is whatever you want it to be.

No, I realized that. I may also become a lawyer when I'm older. I'm just taking things one step at a time right now. I plan on taking it over from the inside.

Yeah. I'm gonna force my family members to call me "Avalanche" from now on.

What was that about staying on the train Freedo?

He was clearly asking about legal precedents. And if he wants to truly lose his parent's name, yet wants to receive mail, get a bank account, own and drive a car legally, get a passport and travel the world, etc., he needs to change his name through the relevant authorities.

That's a cool name.

I'd also like

Orion Avalanche.

That seems a little corny.

So you're going to, what, live off the grid? Bike everywhere? Never receive a paycheque? Be completely isolated from the modern world?
