Before I joined DDO, I was part of other online communities.
My first community I was a part of was a clan community in a MMO game, AQWorlds.
My second community I joined was a minecraft community. I spent two and half years with them before I left.

Now I'm part of DDO and my one year anniversary is near.

How about you guys? Were you part of other online communities before you joined DDO?

DDO was my first.

I used to rap battle on a site called shady world or something like that a few years ago. Then I was a mod on a minecraft server back when that game first blew up for a few months. Aside from those and a few spiritual groups here and there this is really it . This is also my favorite community, no doubt. It's the most diverse collection of minds I've ever seen on a website, aside from maybe reddit.

I'm currently active on three: An SCII clan community (got kicked out of a few clans for raging and trolling), FFN, and DDO.

I can't really say which one I love more. :P

It's not turn-based. It's RTS.

I played Age of Mythology about 7 or 8 years ago. It's one of the best RTS's I've ever played online and I even made a friend that I still talk to this day from it. Oh the romance and drama of my younger days on AoM, it was so silly and creepy now that I look back on it lol.

I'm assuming you know little to nothing about Starcraft if you literally thought it was turn-based. >.>

Simple; use cheap strategies, spike your lag to make the game have hellish ping and FPS, or purposefully get low rating and win against a player at a high rank. I especially enjoy the last option.

Yeah, but doesnt slowing down the lagtime make the game boring for you as well? And why troll if you can just win anywayz?

I especially enjoy the last option.

They simply say "gg" if they lose. It's hilarious when I play cheap and spam units or whatever.

Also, I don't usually slow down the lagtime.

Why would you spam an online game when you will not see the other user ever again. I'm just asking because I have never played online games.

You probably wouldn't understand if you never played online games, but the purpose of trolling is to annoy another player. Judging from the raging in the chat, I'm definitely annoying them. ;D

But what if they go to sleep under the illusion that their bad loss was a nightmareand not remember your face by the next week? Or do they actually want to play with you again cos they respect your authority?

So you're tying to prove a point or something else?

What...?

Why would you spam an online game when you will not see the other user ever again. I'm just asking because I have never played online games.

I'm going to assume you meant "trying".

Pfft, like I have any authority. I'm close to Master, but still at Diamond league.

I don't care about whether an ideology is "necessary" or not,
I care about how to solve problems,
which is what everyone else should also care about.

In essence, the world is fucked up and you can either ignore it, become cynical or bitter about it.

I've spent short amounts of time on other sites...but DDO is the only one I really liked.

First I joined Wargaming.net's community through World of Tanks, then Gaijin's community through War Thunder, and then Debate.org.
