I was wondering what you guys honestly think of the people of this site setting aside for a moment the differences in their beliefs what do you really think of them

I will say I honestly doubt I have ever encountered such a group of intelligent and critical thinking people and honestly if we were running the world a lot of problems would disappear

Meh, I'm not that intelligent. Perhaps you're giving too much credit.

Yall are fantastic, but I don't see the point of this thread.

Sort of reminds me of the threads I used to make. Well, this has less ejaculate in it, but still.

I hear you say this all the time. Read this:

I think you just let yourself get intimidated by some of the others around here.

Hmm...maybe. To be fair, I don't participate in most discussions on this site as I never know what the hell I'm talking about. Everything always turns all philosophical. >.>

I have knowledge in some areas, but very limited.

I was simply pointing out that having knowledge is not the same as intelligence. A person can be highly intelligent, yet have little knowledge.

Is wisdom more important than knowledge?

what do you mean by wisdom??

like an intuitive understanding which is garnered from natural intelligence plus lots experience???

I'd say that's the most important thing. (though it usually goes hand in hand with knowledge)

I guess "Knowledge" would be about particulars. Wisdom would be intuitively knowing how particulars generally fit together... and how they lead into each other...

But I'd say that "wisdom" is only built upon the observation of lots of particulars... which would be why Wisdom would likely only come from someone who's pretty knowledgeable....
"He who does not know how to put his will into things at least puts a meaning into them: that is, he believes there is a will in them already."

This is a separate issue, but yes.
