I'm considered really smart but everywhere I go it seems theres so many people smarter than me. So what am I smart at? I'm not smart for anything actually needed on this site, (lol some of the stuff I read other members posting gives me a headache the first few times, so I feel even worse then) or socially, or in any subject I have taken.

Even my drama teacher said he needed much smarter people than me in the advanced class. I beat my friend's grade in english (I got a 95, she got a 91) but there were so many other people that did so much better, and I've never seen something that I'm actually good at.

Does anyone see anything different about me?

Yeah. I just don't know what I am smart at. I'm told by all my teachers, yet I'm in the bottom half of my class. My parents are assuming I'm in the top 10%. In order to help my grades I'm now taking all advanced classes. (pre ap adds .5 to your GPA ap adds 1.0 to it, as long as you pass. Since I took pre ap english last year my 2.75 went to a 3.25, and it's still not nearly good enough :( its not even better than most of my friends.)

I don't think I'm smart, I think everyone else is dumb for saying I am.

Yeah, you're pretty stupid.

To be clear, you're not stupid because you went from a 2.75 to a 3.25. You're stupid because either number is really low. >_>

So why do people say I'm smart? This is the thing thats bugging me, cause most people don't just say stuff for no reason. Especially people that have never met or talked, and have no problem calling out the really lazy and stupid people in class. It gives me a headache.

At my school, level classes start at 4.0, PreAP at 5.0, and AP classes at 6.0. With band, my GPA is 4.785. I cannot imagine being in the 3's, even under her scale.

Yeah, last year I thought the same. Idk what happend. Prolly cause first semester I didn't do anything and its both of them put together that has the GPA. Plus I had A's that had 0 as my grade for every one of my first 9 weeks classes.

You can't imagine anything other than a 4.0 on a 4 point scale (I presume that's her scale anyway? that's the normal scale). ?

You must suck up to teachers a lot, and never have any interference from home life in your education :P

I think my problem might actually be to many social distractions in the classroom. I think online school will help. If not then it really is that I'm stupid. I'm hoping for a laptop cause I do my best learning laying down in bed. I taught myself math that way, and I SUCK at math. I hate math with a passion. Lol my bf does trig for fun, but I'd never ask him to give me the answers or even help. I prefer learning on my own, it helps it sink in better. Especially for me.

Lol I did great in geography, only grade I made below a 100 was a test on the U.S and that was just cause I didn't have enough time to finish.

I got a 110 on the Canada map. I still don't remember all the provinces and stuff. i do remember the important ones though.

Top 10 percent in my school is 4.5. Top 50 is 3.5. I'm told by my friends that level classes are naps with no homework. I guess the standards for level classes vary between schools.

I'm insane at geography. Somebody once got me to name all 50 US states without a map. I pulled it off successfully. Nobody else I know of can do that.

Neither do I but we were shocked about my GPA so mom looked at my grades online and for the first 9 weeks it was all

98, A-0
93, A-0
89, B-0
68, D-0

I'll probably end up doing that sometimes. I think I said that primarily because I had this strange notion that you were a graduating senior. I forget that you're younger.
