The extroverts are probably getting pvssy, so they aren't on the Internet anyway.

INTJ's would recognize this as a waste of time.

In your professional opinion, on a scale of 1-10, how accurate would it be to say that the MBTI is complete and total BS?

I'm leaning towards a 10.

I'm leaning a 3-4. While it is not perfect or even stellar, it is far from "complete and total BS."

I'm leaning towards a 10.

It has been vetted and is still used today in psychological research, especially concerning identifying trends in pathology. No personality assessment has ever or will ever be perfectly accurate, though, and assessments that were once gold-standards are being torn down every day. Just last week I read a poster at a conference that explained how the self-esteem measure I used in my undergraduate thesis does not actually measure what it claims to.

MBTI has become a bit of a gimmick now and that is to be expected. You'll notice that it focuses on positive traits, which is the type of test the public enjoys. I don't personally use the MBTI at all in my research. Tulle is a social psychologist, so she might eventually find use for it.

So BS posters work? And I thought the don't rape people posters around campus were a waste of resources.
