I wouldn't say it was hundred of hours - at least not online, exclusively - though I argue with with stubborn, arrogant, and stupid people constantly. That's part and parcel of going to college. If anything, DDO prepares me for the real world.

I'm mainly talking about on this site. I don't really see people conceding and it usually turns into insults.

I mean, I certainly agree that there are a whole lot of pointless arguments on DDO. At least as of lately, I've been involved in a whole lot of them, and I think the frequency of contentious altercations is winding down. I'm not sure if I've become more apathetic, or if my newfound love for bunnies makes me seem like less a punch-worthy arshole, but I'm content generally with the content I see on DDO and the conversations I partake in.

You mean, of actual flame wars? At one time, I would've said, yes, that the satisfaction of winning or the sheer adrenal propelled me forward, as sad as that is. But, recently, I came to acknowledge that it's just really silly and a waste of time. I'd like to think that I've never actually instigated a contentious encounter, and at least recently haven't been involved in any.

And what do you get out of them? That satisfaction of winning? The thrill of heated confrontation?

You mean, of actual flame wars? At one time, I would've said, yes, that the satisfaction of winning or the sheer adrenal propelled me forward, as sad as that is. But, recently, I came to acknowledge that it's just really silly and a waste of time. I'd like to think that I've never actually instigated a contentious encounter, and at least recently haven't been involved in any.

Then why do you continue them sometimes? Such as when an obvious troll insults you?

How's it feel to know you wasted hundreds of hours posting in forums and pointlessly arguing with stubborn and arrogant people?

I wouldn't say it was hundred of hours - at least not online, exclusively - though I argue with with stubborn, arrogant, and stupid people constantly. That's part and parcel of going to college. If anything, DDO prepares me for the real world.

And what's the point in arguing with people if the argument is never going to go anywhere?

I wouldn't say it's destined to go nowhere. In fact, I usually win. Funny story is, my only regret in irl "arguments" was being too nice (shocker, I know). DDO taught me to be a real hardars. Things have never been better!

I'm mainly talking about on this site. I don't really see people conceding and it usually turns into insults.

I'd like to think that I've never actually instigated a contentious encounter, and at least recently haven't been involved in any.

Then why do you continue them sometimes? Such as when an obvious troll insults you?

I really don't recall doing that recently. Indeed, I do sometimes have a bit of a short fuse, especially after a long day, and if my patience is wearing thin I'm far less resilient to "obvious trolls," but I don't think there was a case of this in recent memory.

I really don't recall doing that recently. Indeed, I do sometimes have a bit of a short fuse, especially after a long day, and if my patience is wearing thin I'm far less resilient to "obvious trolls," but I don't think there was a case of this in recent memory.

Did you think about becoming a National Socialist yet?

I have, but I'm not quite sold...Any key sticking points I should be aware of?

Did I send you all the things about non-Hitler National Socialism or was that with someone else?

It must have been someone else. I only remember Hitler-esque stuff lol

Serious Hitler ideology support from me? Or did I just send you joke things?

They were somewhat inspirational quotes from Hitler, but I apparently missed the punchline.

Well, it's hard to tell if someone's joking on the internet, especially if you've never heard of the joke before. Sarcasm is even harder to detect.

True, I suppose I "could." Then again the capacity for agreement is limited. This is the internet after all.
