What do you guys do?
What do you think?

One space after a comma, two after a full stop. That is God's law.
I am voting for Innomen because of his intelligence, common sense, humility and the fact that Juggle appears to listen to him. Any other Presidential style would have a large sub-section of the site up in arms. If I was President I would destroy the site though elitism, others would let it run riot. Innomen represents a middle way that works, neither draconian nor anarchic and that is the only way things can work. Plus he does it all without ego trips.

I am not going take any sort of typographical advice from a person that does this...

You'd expect, for instance, that anyone savvy enough to read Slate would know the proper rules of typing, but you'd be wrong; every third e-mail I get from readers includes the two-space error. (In editing letters for "Dear Farhad," my occasional tech-advice column, I've removed enough extra spaces to fill my forthcoming volume of melancholy epic poetry, The Emptiness Within.) The public relations profession is similarly ignorant; I've received press releases and correspondence from the biggest companies in the world that are riddled with extra spaces.

What the hell?

I don't think I've ever seen anyone do that.

In fact that article is so riddled with painful mistakes it's funny.

There is also the point that it is actually down to personal preference, their exists no formal, official stance on it. Unless you are a professional typograher. I was taught two spaces, two space looks dignified. Two spaces I shall use.

I will not take advice from a man addicted to semi-colons, the misuse of hyphens and who starts and ends sentences with brackets... wtf!

I never use two spaces.

I'd rather just start a new line.

It makes it easier to read.

in my keyboarding class the psycho beotch of a teacher always made us double space after a period even though everyone kept telling her it was wrong. Then my computers 1 teacher in freshman year told me the exact same thing. Is there a pattern here or something?

The two-space rule was invented because typewriters' characters all use the same amount of space, and it looked more distinguished that way. But now that we have computers which use different-spaced letters for almost all the fonts, the two-spaces rule has become outdated.

I don't know if I'm explaining it very well, but there it is.
