So VOT and I were joking about "best animus" the other night in the hangout, and he apparently has seen season one of SAO, but not season two (GGO). Since I actually enjoyed watching the first half of season two (SAO does this thing where the first half of the season is really good, and then the second half is eh and has a lot of fan service), I ended up thinking "I wanna watch it again", so I ended up pulling an (almost) all-nighter, watched the first fourteen episodes of GGO again, and fell asleep around 5:20 in the morning.

My alarm woke me up at 6, and I had to get up and get ready for school.

I'm tired as hell. AMA

Assuming we're talking about the same show, what are your thoughts on the upcoming American live action adaptation?

If I've learned anything from "The Last Airbender" (the movie), I don't have high standards set.

Okay, let's back it up a little.

The second half of the seasons are horrendous/boring. The first half of S1 was actually pretty cool, and honestly could've lasted the entire season (which I was hoping to see happen, where episode 25 is them fighting the boss on floor 100, and 26 is them escaping the game and whatnot). S2 was a bit different, because it carried the same gaming concept of S1, but this time with guns, and on a *very* competitive scale, plus a few new characters. I enjoyed watching GGO (the first half of S2), and while I wouldn't call it the "best anime ever" (like some people), I still quite enjoyed it.

Second half of S2 also sucked. They tend to have the first half be actually enjoyable, and then the second half be fairies, bewbs, and random stuff that you wish didn't happen so you could actually enjoy the first half if they continued with it. In fact, if they did a similar thing with S2 (second half), but instead of going back to ALO, they all went to GGO, that'd actually be pretty cool. But nah, you get random sad slice of life with a girl that was born with AIDs or something.

And I'm still tired as crap, but at the same time I'm not having any trouble staying awake.

Let's start right here. Arguably the entire show should have been in "Sword Art Online." and it would have been very easy to do it like that. 3 years were cut out between two episodes for gosh sake
It was enjoyable but still not very good. The "same" concept wasn't nearly the same as one a helmet fried you and the other (WON'T SAY IN CASE OF SPOILERS) well you know what it was
Second half of S2 also sucked. They tend to have the first half be actually enjoyable, and then the second half be fairies, bewbs, and random stuff that you wish didn't happen so you could actually enjoy the first half if they continued with it. Yeah, but I also find great enjoyment in watching gun battle action, mostly just BoB, as well as them slowly figuring out what's happening and whatnot.

Technically, wasn't season two called Gun Gale Online? Let's not forget Kirito's weapon of choice, btw

It was enjoyable but still not very good. The "same" concept wasn't nearly the same as one a helmet fried you and the other (WON'T SAY IN CASE OF SPOILERS) well you know what it was
Yeah, but I also find great enjoyment in watching gun battle action, mostly just BoB, as well as them slowly figuring out what's happening and whatnot.
I will admit it was interesting but let's be completely honest here. Did a game called "Gun Gale Online" belong in a show called "Sword Art Online"
Technically, wasn't season two called Gun Gale Online? Let's not forget Kirito's weapon of choice, btw
I believe it was just "Sword Art Online Season 2"
1 person using a sword doesn't change the fact it is still a VRMMORPG about guns

yeah, but guns are cool man... I liked the fantasy and swordsmanship of SAO, but I also liked the steampunk, quick-fire action of GGO

*also* While I didn't have a problem with this in SAO, they did do some stuff differently in GGO revolving around important characters. Sure, you met plenty of characters, but there were really only three characters that were important, and it wasn't a "boy and girl fight, become friends, fall in love, etc", but a "girl thinks boy is girl, becomes friends, finds out boy is boy, hates him, and eventually they become a team".

Well, I was asleep by 10:30 last night, and slept through my alarm for an hour, so I think I'm rested again. I should make an AMA about it

Ahem, honest opinion. You're basically spamming threads, that's even worse than the 2500 posts thingy.

You're a wing made of fire, and and that's rather awesome. I think it'll be fun to be around you on DDO as you get older, and hopefully we're not too bad of an influence on you ;3

What animes have you seen?

Cory in the House

(if you want real)
Attack on Titan
SAO
Mirai Nikki
Fullmetal Alchemist (original, not brotherhood)
I've seen some of HunterxHunter
Ald.Noah (I actually kinda like season 1, because it was about earth's side of the fight)
Tokyo Ghoul

Those are the ones I can think of off the top of my head that I've finished (save HxH)

Multiple times, though, I've started an anime and then never finished it
