Just looking for some opinions on U.S. involvement in the Egypt situation.
Would it have happened either way?
Were we a catalyst for this movement?

I personally think this would have happened whether we got involved or not, and I think it was better we got involved so we could kind of guide them towards democracy so some radical government did not take place. However, there is the possibility of the Muslim Brotherhood coming in and destroying our relationship..

Just curious for some opinions

I think the OP is referring to the US-backed Murbarak.

Not the 30 years the U.S. spent propping up an authoritarian regime which had little respect for civil rights? Or our using the country to torture suspected terrorists we didn't want to deal with?
Obama was stuck between a rock and hard place and did what he had to do, he didn't do anything special or spectacular.

Then yes, this would have happened regardless of Obama meeting with Mubarak.

The US sent billions in aid to Mubarak. Geopolitics fail.
I am voting for Innomen because of his intelligence, common sense, humility and the fact that Juggle appears to listen to him. Any other Presidential style would have a large sub-section of the site up in arms. If I was President I would destroy the site though elitism, others would let it run riot. Innomen represents a middle way that works, neither draconian nor anarchic and that is the only way things can work. Plus he does it all without ego trips.
