Yeah, my old roommate - he's a geology grad student and gets live updates on every single earthquake - he totally texted me about this one. Friggin crazy. Just reading, "Fear in Tokyo as workers gather outside offices, watch buildings sway" gives you chills.
I could give a f about no haters as long as my ishes love me.

Yeah, I'm back in the states. Thank God. I'm really worried about family and friends I have back in Japan though. I've been sending out messages like crazy. :(

Nuclear powerplants were damaged by the quake. One's cooling system shut down, and there is still heat in the reactor, though no radiation has escaped. They think that there is little chance of a meltdown, but until the cooling system kicks back on, they can't be sure.

I assume you've been trying but the phone lines are down?

Hope they're all okay too.

Far be it from me to be the alarmist, but all these natural disasters, economic woes, and civil unrest around the world seems like it might be a sign of the times. If so, Innomen and Pooka will be raptured (God won't want Godsands or DAT because they're spiritual terrorists -- Pharisees) and all us heathen DDO bastards will have to face the Anti-Christ alone.

Don't accept the Mark no matter what! ;)

I used to work on Navy Nuclear plants, as long as they maintain a level in the coolant pressurizer bubble and do not inject a slug of cold water to the core, there's very little risk of radiation leak and next to no chance of it going super critical.

Well that's assuming they have the same design :o

It's just incredible. It's a good thing they were exceptionally prepared for earthquakes, nothing like this though.

Yeah, I kept on trying for hours and then I finally got through to talk to most of them, thankfully.

Hope they're all okay too.

Thanks P_L. I've talked with most people I know there and they seem to be okay just really....shocked. I've been in a very, very minor earthquake before (in Japan) and it was the scariest thing I've ever been through. I can't even imagine what an 8.9 felt like.

So far two reactors are scraped, some radiation released, but not much (not given what happened, hit by a 9.0 quake, than 1 hour later a massive tsunami from that quake). I think only the Fukushima power plant is having issues, hopefully the remaining reactors there don't have to take the salt water coctail.

I assume they are more body's to be found and less likely to find many survivors. Also Nuclear Power plants have been damaged. Japan needs $188 billion for the repairs, medical treatment and wages.
Religious but not spiritual : )
