For opposing government in a democracy, what is the most efficient route?

Non violent means ( fast unto death, satyagraha, protest marches)
or Violent means ( stop the trains, killing, kidnapping, etc)

efficient here refers to the methods that would most definitely result in success.

Exploiting the poor to become very wealthy at their expense, and then buying politicians seems to be the predominant way of achieving one's political fantasies. I guess, technically, that's non-violent.

It depends on the circumstances. I would say in general a non-violent is the best option, but when diplomacy fails and/or the government actions are egregious enough justify force, some times force is necessary.
