I don't know what the status quo is in all the states but it was on the news today that here in Virgina Rick Santorum, Michelle Bachman, Jon Hunstaman, and Rick Perry are not actually going to be on the ballet. they dicked around to long and did not get the needed signatures to get on the ballet for the election. so if they get any votes in Virgina it will have to be from write-in votes.

that leaves us Virginians with Romney, Gingrich, and Paul. That kind of bums me out as I will never vote for Gingrich and I was really hoping Santorum or Bachman would pull ahead of the race last minute but it seems now they cant.

Gingrich has been declared invalid. It's now just Paul versus Romney.

Virginia is a medium-sized state with 13 electoral votes, the 12th largest. It just might determine the winner.

Go Paul!

Our politicians dont understand how to get onto ballots despite spending millions of dollars campaigning. I'm pretty sure our society is doomed.

false newt can still get write in's, as can everyone else. Perry is appealing the case.

That's OK. None of them are exceptionally good ballerinas.

I don't Virginia allows write-ins for their primaries.

According to the news, Gingrich also failed to get enough signatures, so you are left with only Paul and someone else.

Correct. Gingrich said he'd launch a write-in campaign, but that doesn't seem legal in Virginia, apparently.

We are all grateful that none of them are in the ballet. What worries me is that Gingrich is not on that list.

Personally, I think that Gingrich is as much of a candidate as Herman Cain was.

I don't think there's anything against write-ins here in Va. I am pretty sure last election (with huckabee in it) I remember the option being there on the screen when I went to vote. I know for sure it was an option last election with local and state Senate.

if thats changed this year or not though, having to be a write-in is as good as being all together out of the race. especially on a federal level

Johnson is trying to run for the Libertarian Party, although I'm pretty sure that if Ron Paul wins, he's going to drop out and endorse Paul instead.
