If this doesn't speak to the biggest piece of crap leader in our hemisphere I don't know what does. This guy can't die fast enough for me, and all that he represents. I don't know how his leftist apologists even deal with this sort of thing. By the way, the Spanish newspapers do a better job of describing the situation with Chavez. Essentially he just looks for the worst men in the world and wants to be their best friend.

Ba'ath > Free Syrian Army
Nationalist Socialism > Salafi Sunni Islam

This is a insurrection and the Government is fighting back, the portrayal of the government bombing masses of innocents is a blatant lie.

Syria is the last Arab country to preserve the separation of state and Islam. It is the second last non-Sunni aligned middle-eastern State.

So what's happening in Homs?

Why is that inherently bad? And, if I'm correct, Iran, Iraq, and Bahrain are all Shi'ite; not that that helps.

Bombing insurgents and civilians alike. There has never been a bombing campaign in human history where civilians haven't died. This is war, it's not bilaterial.

Because they're psychos, in politics and Islam integrate that results in the mass mob persecution of both ethnic and religious minorities as seen in Sudan, TNC Libya, post Ba'ath Iraq and Junta Egypt. Democracy for them in the death of minorities as it has been throughout history.

Iran was what I was referring to. Iraq is disputed, before the Iraq war it was Sunni. Bahrain is ruled by a Sunni prince. Bahraini protesters waved Iranian flags during the protests but they were crushed.

Why do you oppose sovereignty?

Where did I state that I oppose sovereignty? I can be critical of a regime without being critical of all regimes.

As an American, I prefer that Chavez did not do things the way he does.

As a nonpartisan thinker, I greatly, greatly respect that man.

The ONLY way one can claim a nation, not a regime, can not do something is to deny the principle of individual sovereignty. You may say whatever you want, but one must be prepared to be consistent. I do not like Venezuela's chosen methodology but they have every right to it. btw, some of our biggest allies are Dictatorships.
