Europe sued windows???

I know its old but I wanted someone else thoughts.
Basically claiming that windows only comes with IE that they are trying to create a web-browser monoply.
Da fuq europe? I personally think its dumb . I mean what about Apple?

It was due to the large market share that IE had. That's why the last few Windows editions let you choose your own web browser instead of giving you IE only. They were sued by Opera Software -- the company that created the Opera browser. Not sure if that was the main cause for the enforcement of multiple-choice of browsers.

What about Apple? 10% of the market =/= monopoly.

Though I think the decision was silly: internet explorer is most popularly used to download Chrome or Firefox. However, I can see how by only talking of internet explorer, already downloading it, and ignoring other software exists, it can create a false impression (and thus decieving consumers).

I would say this is a problem if there was big money being made on web browsers, which most everyone has come to the conclusion should be free. Other than brand recognition.
