This article shows a doctor in Philadelphia convicted of murder for performing abortions. Yet the details seem to go against him since he apparently killed babies after they were born. I think it is likely that pro-lifers twisted the details a bit. I can't believe that he would actually kill babies after they were born.

"Abortion provider Kermit Gosnell was convicted Monday of three counts of first-degree murder for severing the spinal cords of infants born during abortions at his West Philadelphia clinic."

"Prosecutors described the clinic as a 'house of horrors' because of the unsanitary conditions and unsafe practices that defined it."

"...two dozen counts of performing abortions beyond the state"s 24-week legal limit, and various other charges, including conspiracy and running a corrupt organization."

"Investigators portrayed the Women"s Medical Society on Lancaster Avenue, which Gosnell ran for decades, as a little-regulated place where untrained, uneducated employees pumped patients full of anesthesia and labor-inducing drugs, and where women often ended up injured or sick."

"Jurors were left to rely primarily on the eyewitness accounts of untrained former employees who testified that women often gave birth in the clinic after being pumped full of drugs to induce labor. The former employees also described seeing infants move or make noises after birth, just before Gosnell severed their spinal cords with scissors."

I doubt these are simply "twisted details". Seems blatantly obvious to me.

The acts of sickening, but so is the attempts to paint stomping a live baby to death the semantic equivalent of "[adjective] abortion."

"Doctor Kermit Gosnell found guilty of murdering infants in late-term abortions

I can't either, but he was convicted so the jury must have found the evidence convincing beyond a reasonable doubt.

I can't believe that people are so blind to see that they're killing babies period!

Gotta love how pro-lifers are willing to turn anything into a strawman argument for their position. Even though I'm pro-choice, I do think that women should know that they are pregnant and whether or not they really want a child within 3 months of conception...

...which over 90% of people who get abortions do. Seriously, pro-lifers, if you can't make any arguments other than emotional appeals and strawmen, then don't argue at all.

Such logical incoherence. Two minutes before birth, it's a fetus. Two minutes after birth, it's a human baby. Make up your freakin' mind.
