A local politician in St. Louis is proposing a ban on saggy pants. Personally, I think that looking that stupid in public is punishment enough for wearing your pants that way. Why should the city care how stupid you make yourself appear? Nevertheless, fashion police may be a very real thing some day.

Should the government use its initiatory violence to establish and enforce such clothing laws?

While I support the existence of some clothing laws, this isn't one of them.

I hope this happens in my country, the way some people dress is just so degrading..

So, it's better to pay someone to cage them like an animal than simply disagree with their style/decency and go on with your day?

You know? I never thought you could have such a good idea! Seriously that's the job of the government, I can tell I don't like it and argument my opinion, but not more, if I was a ruler it would be a different story.

The only thing the government should care about is public nudity. Other than that they can stay away from my fvckin damned right to wear whatever the hell I want at my own expense of looking stupid!

Please demonstrate the warrant. It is a non sequitur to go from:

1. I don't like that style
to
2. Money should be spent for that person should be forcibly taken from his/her job, family, and activities to be placed in a cage that will likely result in him/her developing negative, often criminal, thinking.

Without a sufficient warrant you are left with a logical gap.

Public property is a sham in the first place.

It depends on the percentage of the population that actually dresses that way, if the percentage is high, there need to be some sort of awareness campaigns . but if there aren't much people dressed this way, then eventually banning people from working, going to school, and being in public places dressed this way, and just make them pay a sort of ticket instead of jailing them.

You're right... A Muslim wearing a turban and beard is so degrading, it should be banned or fined.

I feel this way about a lot of fashion trends.

Big hipster glasses.

Crocs.

Jeans so short you can see the bottom of the pockets sticking out.

They all make me shake my head.

Oh no!

Do they know what this will do to the stereotypical gangsta rappers in the area? Are they suppose to stick to bling-bling now?
