David Gregory, the pusillanimous pundit, is surprised that his useless Sunday News Show is not attracting viewers. Under his partial guidance, Meet the Press, the longest running television broadcast on the planet, has become a sad joke.

David Gregory lacks testicles, but also the courage and toughness that normally marks those born with a vagina. He restlessly refuses to ask any difficult question at all. He asks snarky questions, insulting questions, and questions that reveal his corporations interests... but never anything of substance unless it is an accident.

On Monday morning, two football teams will return to their practice fields after a game on Sunday. One team will have bloody well won. Another team will have lost. David Gregory's spineless refusal to tell his viewers which from which is an embarrassment.

Here is the transcript from every episode of Meet the Press:

"This week, we see Side A declaring victory, and Side B declaring victory. Here to tell us that Side A is right, is a representative from Side A.

Here to tell us that Side B is right, is a representative from Side B.

Here to help us make sense of it all are a panel of Side A and Side B representatives.

Well, it looks like the conversation will continue; but that's all the time we have for today."

Hard-hitting journalism...

My guess is because NBC is a clusterfuck of an organization... and that's coming through not only in their lineup/cast changes but in the dynamic of their reporters (although the latter, especially in the morning). Viewed in concert with the fact that other news channel's show's (like ABC's Good Morning America, World News with Dianne Sawyer and rising star David Miur) have something better to offer, it's no surprise that NBC is taking a serious dive. That, and Brian Williams is kind of a prick...

(For those of you who didn't watch MTP pre-2008, he was good.)

Meet the press just continues to get worse every year.
