August 24, 2014DISASTER/WORLD NEWS 6 people are critically injured and 120 more are in hospital for injuries after the San Francisco Bay Area was shook by a Magnitude 6.0 Earthquake at 3:20 am this morning.

California governor Jerry Brown declared a state of emergency after resources were being exhausted in Napa.

Water main ruptures and gas leaks complicated the problem as firefighters struggled to extinguish six fires, search homes, and transport injured residents due to the exhaustion of resources.

USGS expert Don Blakeman states that the quake is not "The Big One", remarking that the big quake being expected is "tremendously more powerful (than this quake)".

A much more powerful quake is predicted in California, but it is unknown how strong it will be or when it will strike. This quake was not believed by experts to precede a much larger quake.
