much like how clinton was an idiot for answering their summons.

Help me understand why Clemens had to go before Congress. For what reason do they need to be involved?

Because the government must be in charge of everything. EVERYTHING.

Really, it's dumb.
It is odd when one's capacity for compassion is measured not in what he is willing to do by his own time, effort, and property, but what he will force others to do with their own property instead.

I can't imagine he HAD TO go before them.

He's an idiot for going up there.

If convicted of all charges, Clemens, faces a combined maximum sentence of 30 years in prison and a $1.5 million fine.

that sucks.

I can't imagine he would get some legal counsel that would say it's a good idea. I also don't understand how Congress thinks they have a stake in this.

Clemens is a Boston great. Even though he was only in Toronto for two years his impact there might be similar to his impact in New York. And I dunno about Houston. But yeah, no.
