That's a TERRIBLE idea. Drivers are going to get used to seeing it and ignoring it, and then they're going to end up hitting a REAL child. Jeez, what is WRONG with these people??

Yeah, it would be kind of cool "hitting" the illusion, as long as it's an illusion.

lol, they'd probably stop just incase.

but... if the paired these children illusions with cameras watching them they'd probably be able to pick up on a few paedophiles in the area, keeping the area safe in two ways.

It'd be funny to watch someone trying to molest an illusion.

Half the people in my complex would probably just run it over. Lord knows they keep forgetting the few speed bumps into the garage that have been there for 17 years - how is this going to make any difference?

I think it's dumb. I think speed bumps are dumb. What happens to the ambulance with the person needing to get to the emergency room? BUMP. OW.
It is odd when one's capacity for compassion is measured not in what he is willing to do by his own time, effort, and property, but what he will force others to do with their own property instead.

You watch way too many cartoons. This doesn't happen in real life.

How, really, are speed bumps "dumb"? They can be placed in dumb areas, sure, but they're there because people that like to go speeding down a residential street may think twice about doing so if their suspension gets f*cked. Or, is it against liberty to have people not hit children on the residential roads?

I don't think I've ever seen that in a cartoon.

But really, they just cause people pain. You can be going really slowly and still fell pain.

Should we let people feel a little bump when they go over them, or should we let people on residential streets feel a big bump when cars come speeding down at 100 m/ph toward them?

Do you really think that people are going to drive at 100mph in residential areas? They'd crash in 2 seconds, and it would clearly be their fault.

I don't belive in traffic lights, stop signs, or speed limits either.

Not according to the results of tests to remove traffic lights from intersections. In one intersection, crashes dropped from 8 per year to 1 per year.

It's not so much a matter of the ambulance going *BUMP,* it's the fact that they have to slow down to prevent going *bump;* it's the delays. Speed bumps cause more deaths than they prevent. Read the article.

Speed bumps are retarded. This is worse.

Strange speed bump I crossed back there. I didn't know they'd programed them to scream, too.

How would you regulate traffic? That makes no sense unless there are no cars on the road.

FOX Business isn't The Onion.

If you're a brick wall, this means that the video is dead serious.

The most likely reason that streets are safer without street signs and street lights is the increased precaution. People will be more likely to look before proceeding. The result is also more efficient because unnecessary procedures, such as coming to a complete stop at a stop sign when no one is there, are significantly reduced.
