The Russian Track Team could be banned from the Olympic due to massive, state-sponsored doping []. Thoughts?

My thoughts are that doping bans should be lifted. Why should athletes that are better at not getting caught. Have an advantage of those who aren't as sneaky.

We can't stop this, and we need to stop trying before these kids start doing extremely risky things, such as different unproven gene therapy programs. I'm not sure why some advantages are frowned upon and others are okay either? Where does the differentiation between good and bad advantages come into play? What is the difference, especially since most things can be, both good or bad depending on the situation. Steroids can be used appropriately, and exercise can be used inappropriate and dangerously.

Not to mention all the stupid things that end up on the banned substance list and you literally get athletes drinking a protein shake from the weigh protein they bought at Walmart and not knowing one of the ingredients in that particular brand is banned,, and having their life ruined.
