The tooling up and infrastructure needed for car manufacturing is a huge undertaking for a device company such as Apple. From a business perspective to move into this industry would be high risk and not see reward on investment for a very long time. Not to mention the ability to compete with existing well established car manufacturers. Would you buy an Apple car?

My next car is going to be a Tesla, I'm already on the waiting list but it'll be another 2 years before I get mine (unless they speed up production of course).

I could also get behind Apple if they build a good product. That's what it comes down to - how good is the car that they *might* build? I care not who the manufacturer is, only the quality of the product compared to other competitive products.

Very true, quality is the biggest factor. But I don't see a problem free high quality product coming out of the shoot. Remember when Hondas first came out? Everything was wrong with them; Hyundai's the same thing.

I wouldn't. It most likely will be self driving. Boring! What is the point of being alive when all cars drive themselves.
