Why are shy people hated? Not all and not everyone hates shy people but I can't see why extroverts are preferred over introverts.

Personally, I prefer quiet people but that's just me.

I've never heard of anyone hating shy people. In business I think people favor extroverts because in order to get things done you have to talk to a lot of different types of people and do it well.
In some countries I've heard that introverts are more acceptable. Sweden comes to mind. I've heard the Japanese are a very quiet people though I don't know if this would be considered introversion.

I don't think people hate shy people... it just takes longer to get to know them. Sometimes shyness comes off as being aloof and people don't like that. When you're shy, people can't tell if you like them either. People like people who like them. Also, extroverts tend to expose more of themselves to more people and so their behaviour can be predicted. You can never predict how a shy person you don't know is going to react.

Envy. You here stories of how people that complain about their work on facebook are fired and such? Well, that never happens to a true introvert, cause we don't post such things on facebook.

I'm far more attracted to the shy one than the extroverted one. I find the shy ones much more intriguing and feel like it's a challenge to bring them out.

that's disgusting innomen.

Extroverted gay guys tend to really annoy me.

gay guys that like to hit on straight guys (because they never know who might be curious), yet don't hit on me annoy me. It's like an insult.

That's really funny. It also means you're pretty comfortable with yourself.

doesn't it? Even if you say "sorry, no, I'm not gay," it still makes you feel really good and confident about yourself.

what else would you be thinking? i better watch my arse with this fella?

Well, if a girl hits on me, the next time I see them I don't think "she wants my penis inside of her vagina."

I typically don't think much outside of that they were hitting on me before.

Out of curiosity, do you think that way when you're around a woman you think is attractive; you let your thinking go that far with her physically with you?
