Or a positive one. You know we have so many negative people in the world
today. They feel miserable so they want to make others feel that way along
with them. So if a positive person comes along, then they feel like there is
something wrong with that person because they are happy about thing.
If you question someones happiness, it is because they themselves are not
happy. They dont have much to live for, or at least it seems.
Being positive is hard, and it takes a lot more energy to feel good than bad.
What do you think ? Are you negative or positive.

What makes these negative?

Positive= being optimistic, confident, responsible, helpful, complimenting others, etc

What makes these positive?

These attributes have no inherent value to them, to make them positive or negative.

When you make excuses, see the world in a negative light, blame others for
your faults. It wounds your soul. You are not giving yourself an avenue to
deal with your problem in a productive manner.

Being positive is about knowing that everything will be ok.
What makes these characteristics positive, is that it does help you deal with
your problems in a productive and healthy manner. Your mind is the path
to destiny. So how you view the world does matter. You can either open the
door, or close it on yourself.

Definitely. Because the world IS a negative place.

I take responsibility for my choices/actions.

It wounds your soul.

I don't have a soul.

I'm quite productive.

Being positive is about knowing that everything will be ok.

How can you know that?

What makes these characteristics positive, is that it does help you deal with

Delusion is rarely a healthy thing.

Your mind is the path to destiny.

LOL.

So how you view the world does matter.

Nothing matters actually.

You can either open the door, or close it on yourself.

Most doors work that way.

Ann. You dont have a soul. Thats because someone ripped it out of you.
And you can still be productive and a lost cause all at the same time.
The world is both positive and negative. I was hoping that an intelligent
being such as yourself would not make such a lame and shallow generalization. =)

Yeah, Satan was mean about it too. He made me sign a restraining order so I wouldn't come within 500ft. of him. Isn't he a rude father?

We're all lost causes.

The world is both positive and negative.

I wish.

You mean what you've been doing this entire thread? Yeah, I don't like it when people make lame and shallow generalizations. Good thing I haven't done that -- but I am disappointed that you have.

Ann. Im sorry that you have such a "negative" attitude about the world we live in today. Your bad experiences have obviously haunted you for quite some time now.
But being a rebel changes nothing. Who cares if you dont conform. Youre still
a brand. And you still need to find your soul. There is comfort in having one. I wouldnt wanna be you.

I'm not sorry about my attitude -- it's a rational perspective.

And I'm not a 'rebel' -- I don't rebel against conformity for the sake of being different. I just happen to be passionate about what most consider weird, disturbing, radical and/or different.

I wouldnt wanna be you.

I'll try to take that as a compliment.

Ann. Rational from your perspective. But where I come from, you are what we
call an outcast. <---------------But your unbelief in God has caused you much
pain and grief. More so than you would like to admit. There is not rationalizing
with that dear. This black hole will always be your domain. Unless you put God
first. Something tells me that you may not be willing to do so.

Lol. I get called that even here in Seattle.

But your unbelief in God has caused you much pain and grief.

Not at all. I actually feel more liberated because of it.

More so than you would like to admit. There is not rationalizing with that dear.

It appears there is no rationalizing with you.

This black hole will always be your domain.

Ann. Again, you have missed the point. Since when does your definition of
liberation defines freedom. You have found your way out of one prison, straight into another. Still searching I see ? Your aura is a black as coal. I feel for you,
with all due respect. It is not hard to compromise with The ALMIGHTY once you
come to the agreement, that your soul is lost. If you deem yourself souless, then
where does happiness prevail. Simple. You are not happy. But you will declare
that you are, because your own selfishness demands it.

see the world in a negative light,

Seeing something in a negative light does not make you a negative person, especially when something deserves to be seen in a negative light. If anything, it means you are not delusional.
blame others for your faults.

I'm not going to say this is a good thing, but I don't see how it is intrinsically negative, either.
It wounds your soul.

Prove I have one, because I don't see any evidence to suggest that I do and this is completely irrelevant if I don't.
You are not giving yourself an avenue to deal with your problem in a productive manner.

The things you outlined above and good coping mechanisms aren't mutually exclusive.

Being positive is about knowing that everything will be ok.

Delusions are positive now?
What makes these characteristics positive, is that it does help you deal with

Those criteria are subjective, and don't prove that these characteristics are positive.
Your mind is the path to destiny.

I don't believe in destiny.
So how you view the world does matter.

Why would it?
You can either open the door, or close it on yourself.

That's how doors work, I never proposed anything else for them to do.

Thats just closed minded. There are many things you can do with a door. I shall make you a begginners list so you can justify vandalising people's doors.

1. Surfing (duh)
2. Door hockey (Replaces the hockey stick)
3. Door hockey (door replaces the ball, played with normal sticks)
4. Fighting crime and tyranny (Have you considered becoming a vigilante known as Door woman?)
5. Carrying one around for an interesting conversation starter
6. Beating Llamas
7. Making a campfire
8. Use as a kitchen surface for making delicious snacks
9. Make shift ramp
10. Confusing people by throwing doors at them
11. Less than tasty snack (not reccomended)
12. A hat
13. Keeping people you don't like out of elevators
14. You can put it on the floor, stand on it and claim your own personal space. Attack anyone who comes near
15. Leaving it slightly open for infinite source of jars
16. Concentrate hard to fill the jars with jam
17. If you happen to be in a fight with a dolphin who cheats and fights dirty, you can turn the tables by beating him with a door.
18. A makeshift shelter whilst hunting the dingos that ate your baby
19. Useful in diplomacy with shark people
20. A nice present

Thank you, I've been looking for one!

1. Surfing (duh)

I love surfing, this should be fun!
2. Door hockey (Replaces the hockey stick)
3. Door hockey (door replaces the ball, played with normal sticks)

Door hockey (door replaces both puck and sticks)
4. Fighting crime and tyranny (Have you considered becoming a vigilante known as Door woman?)

No, I have not. That has been an error on my part. I SHALL BECOME DOOR WOMAN AND FIGHT CRIME AND TYRANNY!! And I will do so in all caps, because that somehow sounds more impressive.
5. Carrying one around for an interesting conversation starter

"Hey, why are you carrying around a door?"
"I AM DOOR WOMAN!!!"
And then there's more conversation.
6. Beating Llamas

The llamas aren't going to like that.
7. Making a campfire

I don't camp much, but I do start a lot of fires. I will take your advice and burn a door next time.
8. Use as a kitchen surface for making delicious snacks

I could also use a screen door to drain pasta. You are giving me lots of ideas here.
9. Make shift ramp

No longer will i have to buy sheets of plywood, when I know to use the door to make a ramp.
10. Confusing people by throwing doors at them

"What are you doing? That's a door, you lunatic! WHY?!"
11. Less than tasty snack (not reccomended)

That could be good with a bit of seasonings. It's crunchy.
12. A hat

It's so stylish!
13. Keeping people you don't like out of elevators

No longer will elevators be filled with the stench of farts when I use a door to keep the gassy people out!
14. You can put it on the floor, stand on it and claim your own personal space. Attack anyone who comes near

I will take my back-up door and throw it at them, to also confuse them.
15. Leaving it slightly open for infinite source of jars

I could use some more jars...
16. Concentrate hard to fill the jars with jam

Use the force, Thaddeus.
17. If you happen to be in a fight with a dolphin who cheats and fights dirty, you can turn the tables by beating him with a door.

Those dolphins, they never fight fair, do they?
18. A makeshift shelter whilst hunting the dingos that ate your baby

I had a baby? You stupid dingos, you ate my baby that I didn't know I had! I'm going to attack you! And use the door as a shelter in the process!
19. Useful in diplomacy with shark people

Doors are valued by shark people? I am going to have to remember that, it will be useful in future negotiations with them.
20. A nice present

I will give you a door as a thank you present for making the this wonderful list.

See, interrogator, this is what I was talking about. Nothing is intrinsically negative or positive. Something can be positive in his eyes and negative in someone else's. Positivity and negativity are values we assign to things, not values that are inherent in the things themselves.

I'm very positive by nature, though I don't know why I should be.

I mean, if it wasn't for bad luck I'd have no luck at all. I tell you, if I fell into a sack of t1ts I'd come out sucking my thumb.

My whole existence is meaningless and futile and everything I attempt is cursed by ill fate. I don't know why I bother even trying: everything I do is doomed to failure.
