Are you generally hostile towards homosexual gentlemen or do you treat queers with the dignity and respect they deserve?

Personally, I am totally opposed to homophobic attacks on uphill gardeners except when they are directed at Sir Elton John.

Unfortunately, medical science has yet to find a cure for male homosexuality and it seems to me immoral to compound arse bandits' suffering by physically or verbally abusing them.

Friends of Dorothy can't help the way they are, they were born with a genetic mutation. You wouldn't attack a man because he was born with two heads due to a genetic mutation would you? So why attack pillow-biting rent boys? They are mutants as well: just their mutation manifests itself in a different way.

So come on, let's give the pansy-potters a break, eh?

Brian, studies have shown that supporting the tories is genetic (the bender gene) and there are no cures for that. Surely this is inconsistant?

I don't have a problem with gay people. They are hurting me by what they do. I will admit, it does gross me out sometimes, but they should have the right to be gay. Everyone should have the right to live free.

Is this a typo, do you mean they aren't hurting you?

I agree with your general sentiment, that gay people should live unencumbered by societal and religious prejudices, but with regard to being grossed out - some straight couples gross me out and I'm straight.

I say, to each their own. As long as they are consenting adults, I do not care.

I lol'd.

So come on, let's give the pansy-potters a break, eh?:

I lol'd again.

But in all seriousness, I stand in favor of gay rights... and it has nothing to do with the fact that I'm a raging homosexual :)

Names for gays that Brian uses in the OP:

Homosexual gentleman
Queers
Uphill gardeners
Arse bandits
Friends of Dorothy
Pillow-biting rent boys
Pansy-potters

I like the pillow-biting rent boys the best though.

Since when did I bring up Jesus? Jesus affirmed the Mosaic moral law, which included its prohibition on homosexual acts.

Totally objective morality doesn't exist. Morality without conditions is absurd. Because morality is contingent on conditions, it can't be objective.

I'm more interested in the discussion and the ideas than all that big formal business. If you want to debate nihilism vs. realism, that's fine, I guess, but it's not very satisfying for me, because the discussion doesn't really get advanced, regardless of who wins.

Does that still apply to someone claiming objective truth?
