It's early seasons were good, but the episodes just seem really cliche.

*Insert joke about Howard's realtionship with his mother*

*Insert joke about Sheldon lacking social skills*

the jokes are timed to such a rhythm that it just becomes really predictable.

I don't hate the show but I don't really get why it's so popular.

I agree with kermit... It often comes off as cliche.

LOL, Home Movies is awesome!!! Home Movies uses retroscripting, which basically means it gives the actors and actresses leeway to improvivisng, as oppose to big bang theory where its scripted to the point that the show has a rhythm to it. Which is kind of bad for a comedy because you need surprise for the joke to come up funny.

I would say that Home Movies is the best comedy show ever. I love the improvision. It's just so much more natural. Also, I HATE canned laughter. It's just saying LAUGH NOW!! TRUST US IT'S FUNNY!!!!
If anything, a live studio audience is way better.

Um... not really. It's pretty much a totally different setup.

I like more subtle comedy. Dane Cook and that "hot pocket" guy are horrible. I like little ticks, slowly wearing down your brain with each successive chuckle, until BAM! You are laughing your a$s off.

You'll probably like Curb Your Enthusiasm. Curb is basically a darker, far less corny, far more clever and controversial Seinfeld. It is the creator of Seinfeld who stars, directs, writes, etc. the show. Larry David in Curb is more like Ricky Gervais' character in Extras. He's blunt and he gets in super awkward situations that make you cringe but laugh.

And I can assure you it is literally nothing like Jim Gaffigan or Dane Cook. XD

For the record: I am not a fan of Seinfeld at all so that also was not a winning factor for me.

This doesn't seem that clever... I just can't take it seriously. Maybe it's just the live-action thing. Another thing I dig is that Bob's Burgers show. However, Coach McGurk is the wisest mofo to ever live.

haha yeah, that is pretty funny but it also says "best of." I hope it's not like one of those sh*tty movie trailers where every single funny part was in the clip.
