I can now add MP-40, Thompson M1A1, and Colt M1911 to my list. I don't get the big deal about the Thompson's upward kick, it was pretty easy to control. The M1911 on the other hand, now that thing was fvcking wild!

Just out of curiosity, where did you shoot? I know that in my home state of New Jersey you couldn't get your hands on guns like these (I'm in Nevada now), and you sure as hell couldn't get them in New York.

I've only shot a 20-gague shotgun, because I'm too a-scared of the 12-gagues recoil.

I tried to shoot a WWII 45 colt on a shooting range and didn't even hit the target at 150 feet :(

Damn I feel really pathetic now...the only military style gun I've fired was an AK-47, and that was only one round.

I've shot lots of guns but they've always been "civilian" weapons...although .44 magnums are pretty fcking awesome

Yeah that's what I shot. I was extremely accurate but it was an indoor range so the target couldn't have been more than 50 feet away.

My grandad was always abit afraid of the Germans returning, so when he came home from Sweden he hided it during the demilitarization. I remember it as an amazingly accurate weapon, but then again I was teen years old and could only compare it to flare guns.

For an adrenaline rush and a sense of security. That's why any person wants to shoot or own guns. It's a weakness, yes, but at least some people can admit to it rather than insisting that they need the guns just in case the government tries to kill everyone... as if.

Oh and a cap pistol and those single shot cap darts. I remember buying the caps in a roles of 100 6 to a box for like 50 cents. What was realy cool was to hit an entire roll of 100 with a hammer. It was so loud and nearly kicked the hammer back out of your hand. And lets not forget the crossman pump pellet gun and the classic 500 round daisy bb gun where you could load 500 bb"s at once into the barrel. You twisted the end and a hole would open up to pour them in. Can't count how many bb's I swallowed pouring them into my mouth and spitting them into the hole.

That's precisely the point. Wielding a gun provides a SENSE of security, even when I have nothing to fear. It makes people feel powerful.

Thank you for admitting that guns like AKs are pointless.

I want to shoot a revolver for the swag though.

I've shot these before... so simple a machine yet so fun... I wonder if something like this makes a legitimate weapon?

Well that would explain some things about you... I had that freaking 10-pump pistol... I shop-lifted a full size rifle BB-gun out of K-Mart once that thing had some power to it.
