What do you know about him?
What do you think about what you know about him?
What do you think about him, and why?

I'll give my thoughts after others give theirs.

I'm especially interested if you have read:

Madness and Civilization
History of Sexuality, Vol. 1
Discipline and Punish
The Archeology of Knowledge

I'll eagerly await your responses.

No, actually discussing Foucault is really personal to me. I see by you placing this in the "Personal" section that understand how much Foucault truly touches each and every one of our lives. It is personal, it truly is...

I could have sworn I posted in here.

There's no way that could have been edited out, though, right? Because, what I did, was post the French title of a painting that Foucault famously wrote about.

I rather enjoy Foucault, and appreciate his approach and interpretation of the arts. He and Derrida are among my favorite philosophers.

But, the fact that I remember posting something unoffensive here that no longer appears here just doesn't sit well with me.

Perhaps I'm mistaken.

I prefer Baudrillard.
Yo, all of my subliterate conservative criticasters who find perusing and processing the sesquipedalian verbiage of my posts to be such a bothersome brain-taxing chore, I have a new nickname for you. Henceforth you shall be known as Pooh Bears. No, not for the obvious apt reasons, i.e., not because you're full of pooh, and not because of your ursine irritability. Rather, you put me in mind of an A.A. Milne quote, "I am a Bear of Very Little Brain, and long words bother me". Love ya, Pooh Bears.
