Nice. I got 68.

Although, I really don't see the point of something like this- you're never going to need to type at your maximum speed.

It's still reflective of how quickly one would be able to write one's thoughts once they're formed. I see your point, though.

Yeah... have fun typing up a social or english paper at 90 words per minute. I can guarantee you that you'll fail.

Woot woot
The wise have eyes in their heads, while the fool walks in the darkness; but I came to realizethat the same fate overtakes them both.
Then I said to myself,
"The fate of the fool will overtake me also.
What then do I gain by being wise?"
I said to myself, "This too is meaningless."
For the wise, like the fool, will not be long remembered;
the days have already come when both have been forgotten.
Like the fool, the wise too must die!

Your misconception is that how quick one can form sentences nulls the speed-benefits of the ability to type faster than this rate. While this is true to some extent, how quick one types an idea usually means how quick one can move onto the next thought.

With hunt and peck I'm at about 55 words per minute at my best... that's why I'm forcing myself to learn touch typing currently. Only at about 35 words per minute with that though (only been going a few days intermittently) .

For short bursts (the tests cover a short duration) . A longer term average is probably high 40s - 50, which isn't so brilliant.
