The end of the school year is near and I'm sure a lot of people are getting ready for the summer months -but so then the question emerges:

What do you want to be when you grow up?
What do you want to study?
Do you know what comes next in your life?
What is your plan to get there?

A defense attorney.

What do you want to study?

Law.

Do you know what comes next in your life?

No.

What is your plan to get there?

1. Graduate from high school w/ satisfactory grades, good GPA, good ACT/SAT scores, and honors.

2. Step 1 will allow me to do this; Enlist in the military and attend an accredited, four year university whilst in the military. Along with that comes graduating from that university with satisfactory grades.

3. Study, take, and pass the LSAT (Law School Admissions Test).

4. Apply and enroll into a law school.

5. In my state, I must pass through the Missouri Board of Law Examiners upon graduation from Law School to take the Bar Exam. Passing score is 1300.

6. I then must fill out and submit an application to the same Board you saw in number 5, I do this in order to take the character exam.

7. I am then swore in as a certified lawyer (J.D) and will be able to practice law (legally) in the state of Missouri.

This except I don't know where I plan to practice law (it;s probably mostly the same in every state) and won't be joining the military.

But the hero... never gets to see that ending. They'll never know if their sacrifice actually made a difference. They'll never know if the day was really saved. In the end, they just have to have faith.

Ooh now isn't that a question. The number of (plausible) answers I could give to this question are endless which I suppose would just make them meaningless?

What do you want to study?

Philosophy, psychology (clinical or cognitive, not sure either way), linguistics, anthropology even.

Do you know what comes next in your life?

First is my AA. After that I'll more than likely double-major in philosophy and *insert career field here*. I'm leaning towards something in linguistics as an overarching goal. It's interesting enough on it's own and also has possible crossovers with clinical psychology which is another possible course of development.

What is your plan to get there?

Creating an overarching plan is difficult when the goals are always evolving.

What do you want to study?

I am currently studying engineering at the only British university half of you have heard of. Once I have finished my masters I will, the training contract gods be willing, go for a GDL.

Do you know what comes next in your life?

Getting a training contract with a firm large enough to pay for my GDL.

What is your plan to get there?

Summer law course at LSE, work experience and summer internships, using pater's connections (not proud but he offered so I'd be a moron to refuse)

Heh, there isn't an area of corporate law which doesn't betray the an-caps. Then again, I'm really doing badly for the an-caps, with my only other proper being job being for the ministry of defence.

To actually answer the question; I'd get to work in technology and law. Patents interest me. Money. Good prospects from an engineering background.

You disgrace yer whole family. On a series note though it's interesting to discuss what "Ancap" theory allows for in regards to actions taken within a society managed by a State. I go to a public university, paid for almost entirely with public moneys. Wonder how that sits eh?

My family are statists, and I disgraced them the moment I chose to study something plebian like engineering instead of classics or philosophy. I kid too. I know the an-caps are my real family. (Does that make Cody my dad? Joe is definitely my unbalanced uncle)

Here in England I cannot take a dump or scratch my nads without the state having something to do with it. I reckon, in terms of living consistently (and one would only do this for one's own peace of mind - living under the state is not the same as using the state to coerce someone), it depends on how much choice you have. I mean, we could pack our bags and go live in a cave somewhere without the state, but that's not really a real choice.

I am stuck between two choices. One idea is to become a sleep specialist, also known as a sleep doctor who studies sleep disorders, diagnoses and treats people who have them.

Second idea is to become a public policy analyst.

I am trying to volunteer or get involved so I can make my decision.

What do you want to study?

Again, either public policy and similar areas like government and economics, or the field of sleep medicine.

Do you know what comes next in your life?

Graduating high school, then moving on to a University hopefully. Having good experiences along the way.

What is your plan to get there?

Taking AP classes in both areas, and trying to internship to find out which path I should take.

Also maintain my resume.

Get a higher GPA by opting for easier classes along the way.

I'm studying Chemistry at the moment, though I'm also considering mathematics.

Grad school, and then finding work. Hopefully something involving research.

Good grades now should help, which means I should go study for finals now. But we both know I'm not doing that.
